Analytics

This website benefits from the use of analytics software to help us better understand how our website is being used, and what kind of people are visiting our website. Analytics is industry standard software which helps website owners understand information such as how long a visitor has been on a website, which pages they have visited and what kind of device they have used to visit this website.

We collect this information to analyse how to improve our services to you.

Who we share your data with

We do not and will not share your data with any third party. Any data collated is used solely by employees of Roddy Mackay Photography and for the purposes for which it was intended.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment on this website the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

Any information that is submitted to us in relation to an order for products or services is retained for as long as we need to use that information to conclude the transaction or provide the service that has been requested. We may be required by law to retain a certain amount of information in relation to our services, or for administrative or security purposes.

The only information that we will retain for an extended period of time is information which has been submitted by users who have requested to receive ongoing updates from us in relation to news and special offers from our business. We use Mailchimp (an industry standard service provider) to help us collate this information. Each email that is sent by us (using Mailchimp) will provide an opportunity to unsubscribe or amend your preferences in the email.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where we send your data

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

We do not share your information with any other third party.

Your contact information

We only retain contact information that has been submitted voluntarily. You may request a copy of this information, or request to have the information deleted or amended at any time.
